【禮，台下的十年功】(English writing below)
風水命理師，走出來，就要有能撐住場的氣勢。判斷事情要快、狠、準，不拖泥帶水，不廢話連篇。
爲客人賺進更多的錢，保他們一家大小出入平安、步步高陞，是我的職責。
要不然，無法讓客人相信我有本事，更不會相信我們祖先的文化遺產 - 中華玄學。
做老師，稍微不一樣。對不喜歡華文的小朋友，我轉化平時的銳利，爲滿滿的愛心與關懷，和他們一起玩，一起歡樂中學習。
我放下平日光鮮亮麗的打扮，改為平易親人的穿扮，拉近與孩子的距離，贏得他們的喜愛，讓他們樂於學我們的母語。
但，無論大人還是小孩，我的原則不變：學藝先學禮、習武先習德。
「李老師！」
小孩子一走進課室，就伸出一隻手。
我看著那袋子，明知故問地說：
「怎麼了？」
那把淘氣的聲音說：「給妳！」
「你為什麼要給我？」
「老師節！」
「教師節。送禮物要以雙手，還要說李老師，教師節快樂，才有誠意啊！」
孩子傻傻地笑，從袋子裡挖出禮物，照著我說的依樣畫葫蘆，可愛極了。
「眼睛要看著李老師，好好地再說一遍。」
我微笑著，雙手接過禮物。
「謝謝你，請幫我向你爸爸媽媽說謝謝！」
有禮走遍天下，無裡寸步難行。
李老師和你們的緣份或許很短。就算將來沒見面，你們永遠都擁有李老師最深切的祝福，希望你們保持一顆赤子之心，以這顆赤子之心教育你們的下一代，和樂融融、平安吉祥。

As a Chinese Metaphysics practitioner, the moment I step out, I must have a commanding presence. Judgements for my work must be made in a swift, sharp and precise manner.
No beating around the bush, no endless bullshit.
To help the client rake in more money, secure better safety, peace, and prospects of eminence or their family etc are all part of my work.
Otherwise, no client will believe in my capabilities, much less in Chinese Metaphysics, the heritage wisdom of our ancestors.
Being a teacher is, however, a different ball game.
Towards children who hate the Chinese language, my usual sharpness is replaced with forthcoming love and care, playing with them during class time, creating a joyful learning environment.
I let go of my glamourous career-woman attire, and change into a more amicable and approachable get-up, to better win the hearts of the young children.
So that they will be more encouraged to learn our Mother tongue.
Be it adults or children, my principles remain the same:
Learn your manners, before you master a skill.
Study your virtues, before you practice martial arts.
"Teacher Lee!"
As the child walked into the classroom, he held up a plastic bag with one hand.
I threw a glance at the bag, and deliberately asked,
"Why?"
A cheeky voice replied, "For you!"
"Why are you giving me this?"
"老師節! (Teachers' day!)"
"教師節(the proper name for Teachers' Day). You should give your present with both hands, and say, 'Happy Teachers' Day, Teacher Lee!' That is the sincere way!"
The chil broke out in a silly grin, dug the present out from the gift bag and did exactly what I told him. So adorable.
"Your eyes must look at mine. Do it properly again."
With both my hands, I smiled and received the present from the child.
"Thank you so much. Please convey my thank you to your daddy and mummy."
Good manners can bring us all around the world.
The lack of it will disable you from taking even a single step.
Teacher Lee's affinity with you may be very short. Even if we do not meet in the future, you will always have my deepest wishes.
May you always have the innocent heart of a child, and use that to teach your next generation.
May you always enjoy harmony in your family. Wishing peace and auspiciousness for you and your family.
